A work-in-progress portrait sculpture study focused on head structure, planes, and anatomy.
Sculpting Process
This piece marks my first time sculpting a full portrait in clay.
While sculpting a full portrait was new, the process felt familiar due to my background in facial rigging and blendshape modeling. Much of the focus mirrored how I approach digital faces. Identifying primary forms, understanding plane changes, and refining relationships before worrying about surface detail or likeness.
This study remains a work in progress, serving as an exploration of the physical medium.
